My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The room, although plain and functional, was too hot during the warm weather. The service was friendly at reception and during breakfast, but some issues like the squeaking front door were bothersome. The location was convenient for visiting the Sage Theatre, but the daily parking charge was an added expense. The dining experience was average, and the facilities were satisfactory.

The hotel bar and restaurant seemed ok on arrival, but found the room to be dusty, the bed throw was covered in white stains, the bed was extremely uncomfortable - would have been better sleeping on the floor. However, the closed-off system was perfect for me and my partner.

Rooms
5.0
The room cleanliness and comfort were not up to par, with visible dust and stains. The uncomfortable bed made the stay less enjoyable.
Service

The staff were really helpful and friendly, but seemed a bit indifferent at 9pm while checking in.
Location

The location was slightly out of the way for Newcastle city centre, but great for visiting The Sage to see The Cult.

The dining experience was poor for the price, with incorrect orders and not good value for money on most items.
Facilities

I had a perfect stay with my partner at this hotel. The room was very well furnished, featuring an excellently comfortable bed, a sofa, a very spacious shower, and lovely complementary soap. It was well appointed for the price, and we even decided to upgrade for a few pounds to enjoy a huge bed. The only downside was that the room was a bit cold, with just a tiny wall heater.

The staff was lovely, helpful, and courteous. They couldn't have been more friendly and attentive, especially Jen at breakfast and Matt on reception.

The location was really good, very close to all city center attractions and within easy reach of everything. It was easy to walk over the Millennia Bridge to the city center.

The dining experience was the usual buffet style. The Korean food was a nice touch, but some felt it was not good value for money.

The hotel provides comfortable and spacious rooms, with friendly and helpful staff. The location is excellent for exploring the area, but the dining offerings could be improved. Overall, a good value for a pleasant stay.

Rooms
8.0
The rooms are big with a walk-in shower en suite and spotlessly clean, making them really comfortable for a good night's rest. However, there was a slight odor issue.

The staff were very helpful, offering local knowledge and sorting out a lovely breakfast. They were welcoming and attentive to guests' needs.
Location
7.0
The hotel's location is excellent, close to key attractions like Sage Gateshead and the Gateshead Millennium Bridge. However, there were some signs of lack of care in the immediate surroundings.

The dining experience was amazing with a wide selection of delicious options. The breakfast, in particular, was worth the money, featuring Eggs Benedict and various choices.

I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The rooms were flooded when showered, making it very slippery and not suitable for a disabled person. We checked in late, well after the designated time, and we were disturbed by a room phone call at an inconvenient hour. On the bright side, the room was a good place to relax with a glass of wine.

Rooms

Despite the flooding issue and slipperiness, the room was a good place to unwind with a glass of wine.
Service

The customer service had some hiccups, like checking on late-night guests and attempting to overcharge, but the staff was excellent and really helpful during check-in and out.
Location

The location was fantastic for exploring the nearby attractions like Sage and Baltic, making it a good base for a city break. While a bit far out, it was still convenient to walk to the Millennium Bridge.
Dining

The dining experience had some hits and misses, with a good choice on the menu but missing out on the chef for breakfast. Sam, one of the staff members, was outstandingly polite, helpful, and hardworking.

My stay at the hotel was a mix of good and not-so-good aspects. The room was clean and spacious but got hot without AC, and the location was ideal for exploring the city although a bit off-center. The service was friendly overall, and the dining experience had its ups and downs. Facilities were decent, offering the basics needed for a comfortable stay.

Rooms
7.0
The room was clean and spacious, regularly serviced but got hot without AC. We had to leave the window open, which led to some disturbances from outside.
Service
8.0
The service was friendly and helpful, especially during check-in and check-out. However, we had to remind them to refill items at times.
Location
6.0
The hotel's location was a bit further from the center than I would have preferred, but it was convenient for visiting the Sage and other attractions. There were some nearby construction sites, which were not the hotel's fault but could be a bit bothersome.
Dining
5.0
The dining experience had its highs and lows. While the breakfast was decent, adding it during check-in proved more economical. However, the quality and value of the food offered were not exceptional.
Facilities
